Bob Klubek, is an experienced, classically trained jazz musician, singer, song/lyric writer, and vocal coach.
He secured his Music Education Degree at the State University of New York at Fredonia and Master studies at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York.

A native of Buffalo, NY, Bob has been performing live in famous venues across North America and Europe for over 45 years. He has been working with and coaching renowned singers and stars throughout his career.

June Kittay, age 72, holds a BSED from SUNY Buffalo State College, and is founder of Tampa Bay Bodies.
June is a 17-year YMCA group fitness instructor and creator of “Line Dance Young and Old”. She holds certifications with AFAA, Yoga Fit™, Silver Sneakers™, Aqua Exercise, Enhance Fitness™, and Toastmaster’s International.

She is nationally known as an “edutainer”, lifestyle model, commercial actor, fitness writer, and health professional, appearing in magazines and on radio and television.

She is author of “Tips by Kittay” and creator of the DVD, “Emerging thru Movement”. June presents regularly for AARP, Churches, Rotaries, Lifestyle Communities, Schools, Workplace Fitness Events, USF Botanical Gardens, ICAA, and at both corporate and private functions.

Fitness instructor motivates seniors to stay in motion—and have fun doing it
June Kittay is not one to stand still for long. At 66 years old, the Tampa Bay fitness and wellness instructor believes movement is the key to life—and she is her own best example. “The body is a system of wheels within wheels meant to rotate and revolve on a weekly basis,” she explains. “You’ve got to keep moving. You’ve got to stay active.” June says she has always maintained a high energy level, but came to realize the true value of movement and exercise after a car accident 13 years ago. Her injuries led to back surgery, which forced her to spend several weeks at home recuperating. She became frustrated at being cooped up inside and forced to take it easy. Her daughter, a fitness instructor at the YMCA, suggested she come in and attend her Silver Sneakers exercise class for older adults.

June could do simple moves at whatever pace felt comfortable. “Immediately afterward, I walked up to her and said, ‘This is what I want to do when I grow up,’” June recalls with a laugh. Although younger than others in the class at the time, June enjoyed the exercise. In some ways, it reminded her of her days as a kindergarten teacher. “You’re teaching coordination, balance, range of motion, small and gross motor skills,” she says. “You’re also talking about socialization and getting people out and moving.”

June became certified as a fitness instructor, determined to focus on seniors. She says the socialization aspect of exercise classes for people who often spend far too much time alone is almost as important as the exercise itself. June sought new ways to get seniors moving. She added yoga and line dancing to her class offerings. She found music to be a great motivator for getting people who might be reluctant to exercise to get up and move. As she advocated for using exercise to battle the aging process, June made a name for herself. A member of the National Fitness Hall of Fame, June has worked and appeared with tennis great Martina Navratilova, exercise gurus Jack LaLanne and Richard Simmons, and golfer Chi-Chi Rodriguez. June teaches a range of health and wellness classes at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of South Florida, has written a book, Tips by Kittay, and is featured in a DVD. Her love of exercise through music motivated her to get fitness instructors approved to teach line dancing through the Athletic and Fitness Association of America.

Thanks to June’s efforts, group instructors who need continuing education earn 15 credits for completing the two-day workshop, “Line Dance Young and Old.” “People have this mentality that line dancing is all done to country music,” June says. “It’s not. It’s all over the board. Have you ever done the Cupid Shuffle? Or what about the Electric Slide? If so, you’ve done some line dancing. It’s just a matter of connecting people with music—and who doesn’t love music?” June’s line dancing classes at the South Tampa Family YMCA are popular. “She’s one of the few people we have that teaches those classes,” says Josh Brown, district development director for the YMCA. “She makes it really simple to follow along, and the cool thing is everybody can learn to do it. They love her line dancing classes.” Josh notes that line dancing gets people exercising without them realizing they are doing it. “Nobody gets all excited about lifting weights, so it’s a nice alternative,” he says. “People are moving, getting their heart rate up, and it helps with strength, coordination and endurance. And they’re having fun.” Marilyn Westropp has taken June’s line dancing class and is a regular at her Monday night yoga class. She says June has a gift for motivating those around her. “She has a spirit about her—an energy that draws you in,” Marilyn says. “She touches you, she moves you and she inspires you.” When June is teaching, Marilyn says she makes sure to show up. “It’s very rare for me to get all excited and not come up with excuses why I could miss a class,” she says with a laugh. “Other classes, I’ll say, ‘If it works out with my schedule or whatever, I’ll go.’ But I actually schedule my life around her classes.” Joseph McAuliffe with the Osher Institute says June’s enthusiasm shines through when she teaches. “She’s very dynamic, very vibrant and she practices what she preaches,” Joseph says. “She’s a real believer in the importance of physical as well as nutritional and intellectual stewardship at this stage in your life.”

For June, it is all about following her personal pledge: Keep on moving, and having fun doing it. She says it is the key for older adults who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle and a good quality of life. “Motion is motion,” June says. “You’ve got to keep moving, you’ve got to keep active, and you have to get out and be social.”

June was honored to be asked to emcee the Italian Idol Competition at the beautiful Italian Club on 7th Avenue during the Festa Italiana, 2016!

There were four categories in the event: K-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, 9th-12th grade, and Adult. In case you're curious, contestants don't have to be Italian or sing in Italian, though the Italian-themed numbers usually get the biggest cheers!

She called all hippies, and children of the age of Aquarius to don their favorite bell bottoms and join her at MOSI as we walk to the top of the Dome!

The fun & fitness started at 8 am to warm up, then she lead everyone onward and upward, and ended with a wonderful, refreshing stretch out!

She even even did a dance or two! Now that's the way to start the year right!

June co-taught this course with Dr. Steven Friedman, DC, DOM.
Dr. Friedman is classically trained and experienced in chiropractic care and all aspects of oriental medicine and has advanced training in sports injury, neurology and orthopedics.

Here it is! I ran the 5K.

Time:45 minutes.

Not great, but was the last to leave in the Stroller Division.

Had my Grandson with me and could not get through the crowd.

What fun!

Hang around with the right people in the right places if you want to get or stay healthy, fit and feeling fantastic!

June walked in the 2014 Gasparilla 5K.

First timers were encouraged to come out, and those who just want to "Hang with the right people in the right places," have fun and meet some new friends.

The only running happened at as they crossed the finish line, cameras taking photos!

June was the presenter for the "body" segment in the Centre Club's 3 part series for women ages 50 and older to explore topics which impact our self-concepts, "Mind, Body, Spirit."

In a society that values youth and productivity, how can we continue to add to, not subtract from, our lives as we age? Sometimes called The Third Act - a time of transition into older adulthood - women often struggle with where they are on their life journey.

June was a presenter at OLLI's Open House event and her Waterside Tour or 4 week seminar, "Sick or Sensitive?" alongside Tampa's Police Chief Jane Castor. Castor built a reputation for working side-by-side with citizens, neighborhood leaders, activists and business owners to solve crime problems and improve our community. Those strong partnerships are now the foundation of the Department's crime reduction strategy, leading to unprecedented success in making Tampa a safer city. Since it's induction in 2003, Chief Castor's "Focus on Four" crime reduction plan was the driving force behind Tampa's 64 percent reduction in crime.

June lead a leisurely walking tour of the Garrison Channel. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute-USF Walking Tour of Tampa Waterside
Participants learned about the highlights and hot spots along the
riverside.

She is an expert tour guide in the Tampa area.

June provided a stress management/corporate exercise program for Soroptimist International

June's seminar on how to manage stress and incorporate exercise into a busy schedule was extremely well received by all.
